Larry Boehnemann, 51, of Brenham, died Aug. 23, 2006, at his residence. Mr. Boehnemann was born Dec. 7, 1954, in Brenham, to Delphine Carl and Florence Kankel Boehnemann. He was baptized and confirmed in Grace Lutheran Church in Brenham. Mr. Boehnemann was a 1973 graduate of Brenham High School and a 1977 graduate of Rice University, where he lettered in football. On July 23, 1977, he was married to Kathie Pomykal in Wesley Brethren Church at Wesley. He was a member of Grace Lutheran Church, served on the Grace Lutheran School board and was the owner of Uniques. For the past five years, he had the opportunity to really appreciate his life, love his family and be loved in return. Larry suffered intense pain for the past four months, but his faith in God endured. He was surprised and honored to know before his death that he was inducted into the Brenham Cub Football Hall of Honor. Survivors include his wife, Kathie Boehnemann of Brenham; his mother, Florence Boehnemann of Brenham; son, Stephen Boehnemann of Brenham and fiancée Eve Kimmel; daughter and son-in-law, Lauren and Josh Hadley of Brenham; sister and brother-in-law, Sandra and Steve Camp of Denton; and mother-in-law and father-in-law, Janet and Verde Pomykal of Brenham. He was preceded in death by his father. Visitation with the family will be from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Friday, Aug. 25 at Memorial Oaks Chapel. The funeral service will be at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 26 at Grace Lutheran Church in Brenham with Pastors Matthew Jacobs and William Holzer officiating. Burial will be in Prairie Lea Cemetery in Brenham. Pallbearers will be Carlton Bosse, Wayne Fuchs, Gerald Fuchs, Robert Stark, Steve Camp, Josh Hadley and Brant Oertli. Honorary pallbearers will be Delton Koerth, John Will Fuchs, Bob Toler and Bennie Gonzales. Memorials may be given to Grace Lutheran School and Hospice. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Memorial Oaks Chapel, 1306 W. Main St., in Brenham.
