Larry Wayne Schroeder

Larry Wayne Schroeder, 69, passed away on June 11, 2023 after a courageous battle with cancer. Larry was born January 28, 1954 in Brenham, Texas to parents, Dover and Jean Schroeder. He was baptized in William Penn and confirmed at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Houston, Texas.

He is survived by his daughter, Rachel Schroeder of San Marcos, TX; granddaughter, Alexis Mosqueda of San Marcos, TX; great-grandson, Michael Mosqueda of San Marcos, Tx. Brother, Bill Schroeder of Pottsboro, TX; sister, Beverly Peterson of Houston, TX. Niece, Jen Shockley of Chantilly, VA; nephew, Joey Schroeder of Spring, TX and great-nieces and nephew.

Larry was preceded in death by his parents, Dover and Jean Schroeder.

Larry enjoyed camping and fishing, especially with his great-grandson, Michael. Michael and his Gramps were the best of friends, always picking on each other, lighting fires when they knew it was wrong, shooting squirrels with a BB gun, doing scratch offs and just being kids together.

Larry was a loving father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother and uncle. He will be deeply missed by all.

Visitation will start at 7:00 a.m. Saturday, June 17, 2023 with family present from 12:00 pm to 2:00 p.m. at Memorial Oaks Chapel. Graveside Service will start at 2:00 pm Saturday, June 17, 2023 at Prairie Lea Cemetery with Pastor Phil Fenton officiating.

In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the American Cancer Society.
