Laura Raitz

Laura Dell Raitz, 94, was reunited with her family in heaven on February 17, 2025 just as she joined them on December 20, 1930 here on earth. Laura was born in Brenham, Texas to Minnie Schultz and Edwin Schulz.

Laura was a happy young girl growing up in the countryside and graduated at age 17 from Brenham High School. Afterward she moved to Houston and worked at Houston Lighting and Power until her retirement, when she returned to Brenham.

Laura was preceded in death by her husband, Myrul "Felix" Raitz; daughter, Terry; sister Lillie Stovall; and her dear cousin, Elmarie. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Walter and Loreen Grant; daughters Debra and Daphne; her beloved granddaughter Mindy, who will always be a daughter in her heart; four cherished grandchildren; and six treasured great-grandchildren.

A graveside service will be held for Laura on Saturday, February 22, 2025 at 10:30 am at Prairie Lea Cemetery located at 1004 Prairie Lea Street, Brenham, Texas.

In lieu of flowers, Laura requests that donations be made to Grace Lutheran Church and School.
