Laura Beth Schilling, 35, died May 1, 2017 in Houston.

Laura was born May 9, 1981 in Houston to Larry and Terri Borgstedte Schilling. She was employed as a Process Control Engineer in Construction Planning with the Bechtel Corporation.

Funeral services are scheduled for 2 p.m., Thursday, May 4, 2017 at the Friends Congregational UCC of College Station, located at 2200 Southwood Drive in College Station. Pastor Greg Felder will officiate. Burial will follow in the Aggie Field of Honor Cemetery in College Station.

Visitation will be from 5:30 until 7:30 Wednesday at Memorial Oaks Chapel.

Surviving are her parents, Larry and Terri Schilling of Austin, and her fiancé, Chris McDowell of Houston. Also surviving is her beloved pet, Maya, as well as numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

Laura was preceded in death by her special canine companion, Tuffey.

Serving as pallbearers are Dr. Thomas Borgstedte, Robert Borgstedte, Thomas Borgstedte, Jr., Chris Walkoviak, John Ross Kettler, Marcus Gaskamp, Robert Vaughn, and Scott Edmonds. Ted William Borgstedte will be an honorary pallbearer.
