Laverne Siemsglusz

Laverne Wellmann Siemsglusz, 53, of Brenham, TX, died Thursday, March 11, 2004, at her residence. Mrs. Siemsglusz was born January 12, 1951, in Brenham, to Robert and Selma Loesch Wellmann. She was baptized in Immanuel Lutheran Church in Wiedeville and was confirmed in Grace Lutheran Church in Brenham. She was a graduate of Brenham High School and Texas A&M University. On May 14, 1972, she married Alan Siemsglusz in Grace Lutheran Church in Brenham. Mrs. Siemsglusz was a teacher at Brenham Middle School and was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Wiedeville. Survivors include her husband, Alan Siemsglusz of Brenham; son, Steven Siemsglusz of Brenham and fiancée Adrienne Wilde; daughters, Alison Siemsglusz of Brenham and special friend Patrick Ervin and Lindsey Siemsglusz of Brenham; parents, Robert and Selma Wellmann of Brenham; brother and sister-in-law, David and Kim Wellmann of Brenham; sister and brother-in-law, Dorothy and Ronnie Holle of Brenham; mother-in-law, Alvera Siemsglusz of Brenham; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Jon and Kathleen Siemsglusz of Brenham and Jim and Pat Siemsglusz of Flagstaff, Arizona; and numerous aunts, uncles, nephews and nieces. She was preceded in death by one brother, Ricky Wellmann. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, March 13 in St. Paul s Evangelical Lutheran Church in Brenham with Pastor Jim Abbott officiating. The family will receive visitors at Memorial Oaks Chapel today from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Pallbearers will be Ryan Aschenbeck, Kyle Holle, Michael Schroeder, Brian Siemsglusz, Mark Siemsglusz, Matthew Wellmann and Jeramie Zelenka. Brenham Independence School District employees will be considered honorary pallbearers. Memorials may be given to Immanuel Lutheran Church, Wiedeville Church Rd., Brenham, TX or Hospice Brazos Valley, 705 S. Austin, Brenham, TX 77833. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Memorial Oaks Chapel, 1306 W. Main St., in Brenham.
