Lawrence "Larry" Emil Wahrmund went home to meet his Lord on June 28, 2018. He was born on March 28, 1963 in Kerrville, Texas and was the first of four children for Barbara and Kermit Wahrmund. He was baptized into the Catholic faith at Notre Dame Church in Kerrville and confirmed in St. Mary's Church in Brenham, Texas. He was a member of the Knight's of Columbus
While growing up, his love of the outdoors was reflected through his participation in Boys Scouts. In high school Larry played in the school band and was a member of the golf team and the FFA. He graduated from Brenham High School in 1981.
After high school he attended Blinn College where he earned his associates degree. While at Blinn, he worked part time at Robert's Service Station where he met the love of his life, Theresa Martin. After a 3-year courtship, he and Theresa were married in St. Mary's Catholic Church on February 16, 1985. Their union lasted 33 years and produced two children-Christian and Alicia who both proudly say they could not have imagined a better dad and role model.
His sister Sherry has described his love for Theresa as such, "When Larry looked at Theresa when they were first engaged, it would make my heart hurt. You could see how much he loved her-how she was his world. Thinking about that look now, I realize that he never stopped looking her like that. Larry had so much love to give and he poured it out on his family."
After attending Blinn, Larry went to work for Brenham Produce Company and eventually came to own the local feed store in Brenham, Texas. He worked hard to provide for his loving family. When he wasn't busy answering a customers phone call, he loved vacationing at the lake with his family, and spending time up at the family ranch in Fredericksburg, Texas. He also loved taking time out for his Tuesday night bowling with the boys. He loved hunting, fishing and just being outdoors. He could never sit still-there was always a project to be worked on or a chore to be done.
Larry is survived by his wife, Theresa, his parents, Barbara and Kermit, his children, Christian and Alicia, his siblings, Gary (Melanie), Sherry (Keith Neuendorff), and Jerry (Deborah), his mother-in-law Lucile Martin, his sisters-in-law Mickey Neel and Linda McManus, and his brothers-in-law Dale (Theresa) McManus, Michael (Karyme) Martin, Albert (Kim) Martin, as well as many loved nieces and nephews.

The celebration of his life will be held at St. Mary's Catholic Church on Tuesday, July 3, 2018 at 10:30 am with lunch to follow in the Parish Activity Center.
