Lea Alcala

Lea Marie Alcala, 19, daughter of Kim Ehlert, died on July 11, 2021.

A visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m., Wednesday, July 14, 2021 at Memorial Oaks Chapel.

A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, July 15, 2021 at St. John Lutheran Church of Prairie Hill. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Lea was born on November 28, 2001 in Bryan, TX. Lea was a baptized member of St. John Lutheran Church of Prairie Hill. She was a happy and vibrant person, known for lighting up a room whenever she walked in. Lea is and always will be loved by her family. Despite the difficulties Lea had when she was born, she always managed to put a smile on everyone’s face.

She was survived by her mother, Kim Ehlert; sister, Mina Adriana Kraft; nephew, Hudson Ray Pierce Griffin; aunts and uncles; Chad and Sara Gerke, Wayne and Sharon Ehlert, and Bob and Sue Wernecke; great, great Aunt Lena Mae Goessler, and numerous cousins.

Lea was preceded in death by her grandparents Geneva and Sonny Ehlert; great-grandparents, Esther and Albert Ehlert; and great aunts and uncles, Pat and Dee Schroeder.

Memorial contributions may be directed to St. John Lutheran Church of Prairie Hill or Brenham State Supported Living Center.
