Leeland R. Rinn, 91, went home to be with his Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ, on August 11, 2021.
A visitation will be held for Leeland at 5-7 p.m. on Friday August 13, 2021 at Memorial Oaks Chapel. The service will be at 10 a.m. on Saturday August 14, 2021 at St. James Lutheran Church officiated by Pastor Evan Cameron, with a burial following at the church cemetery.
He was born January 16, 1930 to Alvin H. and Alma Kretzschmar Rinn, and grew up in Industry, TX.
He met Florence Henske at Willie’s Motel where she worked. On February 4, 1967 they got married at St. James Lutheran Church in New Wehdem.
Leeland worked as an electrician for a long time during his life and wired many hospitals and schools in the state. Later he settled into ranching and raising cattle. He had a knack for building equipment and fixing things that needed repair. He enjoyed being outdoors and staying active.
Surviving Leeland are his wife of 54 years, Florence; niece, Betty Arndt Kramer; extended family, Carol and Terri Johnson, Blake and Carrie Galle, Kelton and Katelynne, Jeff and Cassidy Johnson, Wyatt, Oakley and Swayze.
He was preceded in death by his parents Alvin and Alma Rinn; two infant brothers; in-laws, Arthur and Meta Henske; sister and brother-in-law, Joyce and Delbert Arndt; and numerous cousins and friends.
Pallbearers will be Erwin Sander Jr., Dale Rinn, Mark Ueckert, Dean Ueckert, Edward Lee Eben and Jeff Johnson.
Honorary pallbearers are John Schroeder, Blake Galle, Carol Johnson, Charles Goeke and Donnie Henske.
Memorial contributions can be made to St. James Lutheran Church.
Services are entrusted to Memorial Oaks Chapel, 1306 West Main, Brenham, Texas, 77833.
