Leeroy Henry Kramer of Brenham, Texas, passed away on Tuesday, February 13, 2024, at the age of 91. Leeroy was born in Burton, Texas on May 20, 1932 to Norbert and Laura Buro Kramer. He was baptized July 1932 and confirmed April 1947 at Zionsville Lutheran Church. On December 28, 1952 he was united in marriage with Doris Mae Thim at Immanuel Lutheran Church. They were blessed with two daughters, Linda Kay and Donna Marie.
Leeroy was a dedicated and supportive husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather and a hard worker for all of his life. He was employed as a production supervisor for Blue Bell Creameries for 46 years. He also served on Church Council at Immanuel Lutheran Church. Leeroy loved restoring old cars and tractors. He and his wife enjoyed attending auctions and estate sales and traveling to Fredericksburg each July to buy peaches for pies and jelly. Family gatherings were always special for him.
Leeroy was preceded in death by his parents, Norbert and Laura Buro Kramer; brothers, Vallie and Edward Kramer; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Rudolph and Hattie Breddin Thim; and brother-in-law, John Thim.
Survivors include his wife, Doris Mae Thim Kramer; daughters and son-in-law, Linda Kay and Darrell Reimer and Donna Marie Black; grandchildren, Lisa Reimer Auckland (Jonathan), Dathan Reimer (Frances), Lacey Black, Dillon Black (Cheyenne), and Daylynn Black; great-grandchildren, Logan, Devin and Jacob Auckland, Livvy, Lyndsey and Adelyn Reimer, Anyiah, Zoey, Aubrey and Novalee Vela, and Noah Black; brothers and sisters-in-law, James and Suzy Kramer, Anita Kramer and Faye Thim.
Visitation for Leeroy Kramer will be on Friday, February 16, 2024 from 4:30 until 6:30 p.m. at Memorial Oaks Chapel. Funeral services are scheduled for Saturday, February 17, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. at St. Peter's Lutheran Church of Gay Hill with the burial following the service at the church cemetery.
Pallbearers for Mr. Kramer will be Dathan Reimer, Dillon Black, Jonathan Auckland, Robert Kramer, Roger "Charles" Nolan and Michael Eilers. Honorary Pallbearers will be Lisa Auckland, Lacey Black, Daylynn Black, Chris Kramer, Kenneth Kramer and Douglas Maurer.
Memorial contributions may be directed to St. Peter's Lutheran Church of Gay Hill.
