Lelah Frazier

Lelah Helen Frazier, 80, widow of Robert Frazier, formerly of Brenham, passed away April 3, 2008 in the home of her son. Mrs. Frazier was born September 3, 1927 to Elmer and Golden McNabb in Toliver, Kentucky. She was baptized at New Lisbon Christian Church in New Lisbon, Indiana on December 31, 1939, and again at Calvary Baptist church on November 11, 1984. She married Robert A. Frazier on September 8, 1957 in Mt. Sterling, KY. Most everyone knew her as Helen. She was a beauty operator for several years before being married. After moving to Ohio, Mrs. Frazier worked in food services for Centerville, Ohio school system. She also taught Sunday School for nursery through 5 years old. After moving to Brenham, Texas, she joined Calvary Baptist Church, where she served as chairman of the Fellowship and Bereavement Committees. Helen was preceded in death by her parents, as well as her husband of 47 years, Robert Frazier. Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Darrell and Kay Frazier of Shenandoah, Texas; brother-in-law Scott Frazier; sisters-in-law Katherine Frazier, Mattie Frazier, Bertha Hurst and Naomi Lackey, as well as several nieces and nephews. Funeral services for Lelah Helen Frazier will be held at the Herold and Stewart Funeral Home in Mt. Sterling, Kentucky with burial to follow in the Stanton Cemetery in Stanton, Kentucky. Visitation with family present will take place Friday, April 4 from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at Memorial Oaks Chapel in Brenham. Memorials may be given to Calvary Baptist Church, the American Cancer Society or Heart Association. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Memorial Oaks Chapel of Brenham.
