Leo Arndt, Jr.

Leo Julious (L.J.) Arndt, Jr., 67, died January 9, 2017 at his residence in Brenham.

L.J. was born July 11, 1949 in Brenham to Leo Julious and Alice Knipstein Arndt. He was baptized Sept. 11, 1949, and confirmed April 7, 1963. L J. worked as a rancher and horse trainer.

Survivors include daughter Jennifer Grimm-McGinley (Jess McGinley) of Cypress, and Jill Arndt (Nathan Wellmann) of Brenham; sister and brother-in-law Carolyn and Ray Werth of Brenham; grandchildren: Taylor and Logan Grimm, and Zoe, Kallie and Daisy Wellmann.

Preceding him in death were his parents, Leo and Alice Arndt.

A Memorial Service for L. J. Arndt, Jr. will held at 6 p.m., Wednesday, January 11, 2017 at Memorial Oaks Chapel, with Doug Collins officiating. Visitation will begin at 5 p.m. Wednesday until service time at Memorial Oaks Chapel.

Funeral arrangements for Leo Julious Arndt, Jr. are entrusted to Memorial Oaks Chapel, 1306 W. Main, Brenham.
