Leola Glaesmann Lueck, 83, of Brenham died in a Huntsville nursing home Thursday, March 15, 2007. Mrs. Lueck was born Aug. 21, 1923, in the Zionsville community of Washington County, Texas, to Paul and Alvina Herzog Glaesmann. She was baptized and confirmed at Zion Lutheran Church of Zionsville. On June 10, 1945, she was married to Albert Lueck at Zion Lutheran Church of Zionsville. Mrs. Lueck was a member of Eben-Ezer Lutheran Church of Berlin. She enjoyed keeping and working with children and also enjoyed flowers and working with them. Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Tammy and Marty Fuller of Huntsville; two grandchildren, Ryan Fuller and Brittany Fuller; and sisters-in-law, Esther Lueck and Mary Lueck. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Albert Lueck; and her brother, Raymond Glaesmann. The family will receive visitors from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Saturday, March 17 at Memorial Oaks Chapel. The funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m. Sunday, March 18 at Eben-Ezer Lutheran Church of Berlin with Pastor Teresa Davis officiating. Burial will be in Prairie Lea Cemetery in Brenham. Memorial contributions may be given to Eben-Ezer Lutheran Church of Berlin. The family would like to thank the nurses and staff of Ella Smither Geriatric Center in Huntsville.
