Leroy Tegeler

LeRoy Frank Tegeler Jr. died Friday May 28, 2021 at home and at peace.

A memorial service will be held at 11 am, Thursday June 3, 2021 at Abiding Word Lutheran Church. A luncheon and visitation to follow. Rev. Martin Moore will officiate.

LeRoy was born in Houston, Texas on December 1, 1950 to LeRoy Tegeler and Ella Lueck Tegeler. He was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith.  His confirmation verse was Psalm 16:8 “I keep the Lord always before me; because he is at my right hand, I shall not be moved."

He was married to Lottie Lueckemeyer on June 14, 1975 at Salem Lutheran Church. They had two children- Carl (Bubba) and Dana.

He was the owner of Tegeler Sports. He was so proud to have had the opportunity to work alongside his children.

A quiet and humble man, he put Faith and Family first. There are many memories of happy times together, fishing on the coast, playing golf, BBQ in our “Garden District”, and coaching Little League.

He is survived by his wife, Lottie, son and daughter-in-law, Bubba and Sarah Tegeler of Katy, Texas and daughter Dana Tegeler of Seabrook, Texas. Grandsons Owen and Everett Tegeler of Katy, Texas. Sisters-in-law Edina Kossow of Lakeland, Florida and Rhonda Burleson of Mineola, Texas.

He was preceded in death by his parents and brother-in-law Jim Burleson.
