Leslie C. Boehnemann, Sr., 92, of Burton, died January 1, 2005, in Trinity Care Center in Brenham. Mr. Boehnemann was born December 15, 1912, in the Greenvine Community of Washington County, to Carl and Lydia Stark Boehnemann. He was baptized on February 23, 1913 and confirmed on April 1, 1927 in Emmanuel Lutheran Church of Greenvine. Mr. Boehnemann was educated in the Burton School. On November 9, 1947, he married Lorena Koerth in the Emmanuel Lutheran Church of Greenvine. Mr. Boehnemann was a retired farmer and carpenter and also retired from the Trinity Hospital Maintenance Department. He was a lifelong member of the Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Greenvine, and a member of the Burton Volunteer Fire Department. Survivors include his wife, Lorena Boehnemann of Burton, sons and daughters-in-law, Leslie Boehnemann, Jr. and wife Jane of Burton, Roy and Linda Boehnemann of Brenham and Ronald and Tracie Boehnemann, of Burton; granddaughters, Nikki Boehnemann Woods and husband Tim of Burton, Robin Boehnemann of Round Rock, Michelle Boehnemann Janner and husband Gil of Brenham, Pam Boehnemann of Huntsville, Chadd Neumann of Brenham and LyNae Neumann of Burton; brother and sister-in-law; Herbert and Johnnie Mae Boehnemann of Brenham; sister-in-law and brother-in-law: Lucille Eberhardt and Lorenz Koerth of Burton; sisters: Emerine Scroggins and Allyne Boehnemann of Burton; great-grandchildren: Bethany Janner and Shayle Woods. He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, two sisters, four brothers-in-law, father-in-law and mother-in-law. The funeral service for Leslie C. Boehnemann will be at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, January 4, 2005 in Emmanuel Lutheran Church of Greenvine with Pastor Glen Schoeneberg officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. He will lie in state at Memorial Oaks Chapel until 9:00 a.m. Monday and will be at Foehner Funeral home after 10:00 a.m. The family will receive visitors from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Monday, January 3, at Foehner Funeral Home. Pallbearers will be Tim Woods, Gil Janner, Chadd Neumann, Tim Eberhardt, Mark Hundemer and Jerry Simpson. Honorary pallbearers will be Quin D. Kroll, Daryl Gummelt, Larry Jaeger and the Staff at Trinity Care Center. Memorials may be given to Emmanuel Lutheran Church of Greenvine. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Foehner Funeral Home of Burton.
