Lillian L. Quinn Gaskamp, 74, of Brenham died Jan. 8, 2007, at College Station Medical Center. Mrs. Gaskamp was born Nov. 15, 1932, in Copeland, Williamson County, Texas, to August and Lillie Belle Thonig Quinn. On Jan. 11, 1953, she was married to Monroe Gaskamp in Bethlehem Lutheran Church of William Penn. She was a homemaker who loved her family and friends. She greeted everyone with a large smile on her face. Lillian loved to play cards and dominoes. She was a member of the Afternoon Circle at Grace Lutheran Church. We will miss her more than words can express. Survivors include her husband of 53 years, Monroe Gaskamp of Brenham; son and daughter-in-law, Doyle and Theresa Gaskamp of Sugar Land; granddaughter, Hannah Koester of Brenham; son-in-law, Don Koester and his wife Ann of Brenham; three sisters and two brothers-in-law, Joyce Mantey of Houston, Blondean and Henry Kuecker of Brenham and Vivian and Alvin Buddy Janes of Brenham; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Theckla Lueckemeyer, Meta and Herbert Mutscher, Annie Gaskamp, Alfred and Nelda Gaskamp, Raymond and Ann Gaskamp, Melvin and Pearl Gaskamp, Clarence and Bernice Gaskamp and Florence Gaskamp; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; and her daughter, Darlene Koester; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Steve Mantey, Louise Gaskamp, Henry and Alma Gaskamp, Jim Lueckemeyer, Herbert and Hattie Gaskamp, Walter Gaskamp and Otto Gaskamp; and nephew, Kerry Mantey. The family will receive visitors from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 10 at Memorial Oaks Chapel. The funeral service will be at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 11 at Grace Lutheran Church in Brenham with Pastors Matthew Jacob and William Holzer officiating. Burial will be in Prairie Lea Cemetery in Brenham. Pallbearers will be Tony McNicoll, Kenneth Briggs, Jason Janes, Brian Paul Janes, Tommy Gaskamp, Robert Loflin, Delwin Gaskamp and Sonny Carlson. Honorary pallbearers will be Dr. Don Voelter, Dr. Henry Boehm, Jr., Victor Arlitt, Ervin Addicks and Mark Mantey. Memorials may be given to Grace Lutheran School.
