Lillian Marie Rose Worchesik Konieczny, 65, of Brenham, widow of Clement Konieczny, died Oct. 3, 2014, at Scott and White Hospital in Brenham. Visitation will be from 5:00-8:00 p.m. Monday, Oct. 6 at Memorial Oaks Chapel, the rosary to be recited at 6:30 p.m. with a vigil to follow. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 7 at St. Mary''s Catholic Church in Brenham with Msgr. Benedict Zientek, celebrant. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery in Brenham. Mrs. Konieczny was born Sept. 13, 1949, in Navasota, Grimes County, TX, to Ben and Mary Tomczak Worchesik. She was baptized and confirmed in St. Mary''s Catholic Church in Hemsptead. She was a 1968 graduate of Hempstead High School and attended Blinn College nursing classes. On Jan. 8, 1972, she was married to Clement Konieczny in St. Mary''s Catholic Church in Hempstead. She was a member of St. Mary''s PCCW and did Adoration to the Blessed Sacrament weekly. She had daily coffee breaks with her sisters in Brenham and enjoyed Texas Polka Time weekly, Mollie B, dancing, cooking and baking apple and pecan pies. Survivors include her sons, Donald Konieczny and wife Shelly of Houston and Daniel Konieczny and special friend Allison Farrington and her son Curt of Brenham; daughter, Doris Konieczny of Brenham; grandchildren, Evan Konieczny and Anna Konieczny; brothers, Felix and Thelma Worchesik of Houston, Sylvester and Lillian Worchesik of Houston and Dominic Worchesik of Hempstead; sisters, Theresa Bilski and special friend Billy Dean Koerth of Burton, Hedwig Konieczny and husband Raymond of Hempstead, Frances Majewski and husband David of Brenham, Dorothy Meleski and husband Benard of Cypress and Florence Browne and husband Malcolm of Houston; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Leonard and Clarice Konieczny; and sister-in-law, Adelene Konieczny. She was preceded in death by her husband, Clement Konieczny; parents, Ben and Mary Worchesik; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Tony and Mary Konieczny; a granddaughter, Amber Konieczny; and brother-in-law, Peter Bilski. Pallbearers will be Jonathan Majewski, Calvin Bilski, Jeffery Worchesik, Patrick Worchesik, Chris Worchesik, Anthony Worchesik, Timothy Worchesik, Mark Meleski and Matthew Meleski.
