Lillian Anna Noerenberg Schulz, 94, of Brenham, died May 9, 2012 at her residence. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m., Monday, May 14, 2012 at Welcome Lutheran Church, with Pastor Allan Kethan officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 until 7 p.m. Sunday evening at Memorial Oaks Chapel. Lillian Anna Schulz was born February 28, 1918 in the Cedar Hill Community of Washington County to Albert and Meta Loesch Noerenberg. She was baptized June 16, 1918 in Friedens United Church of Christ of Gay Hill, and later confirmed there on October 12, 1930. She married Adolph Schulz on October 18, 1947 in Welcome Lutheran Church. Lillian was a homemaker and worked alongside her husband on the family farm. A member of Welcome Lutheran Church of Welcome, Lillian enjoyed gardening, sewing, and ironing clothes. She was well-known for baking delicious homemade bread. Spending time outdoors among the cattle was a favorite pastime, accompanied by her faithful pet companion, her dog named Boy. Survivors include sons and daughters-in-law David and Bonnie Schulz of New Ulm and James and Eunice Schulz of Brenham; grandchildren: Dave and T. J. Schulz of Bleiblerville, Vickie and Glen Spiess of New Ulm, and Zane and Misty Schulz of Brenham; great-grandchildren: Janice and Justin Schroeder of Brenham, April Schulz of San Antonio, Shelby Schulz and Jordan Meyer, both of Brenham. Other relatives include a sister-in-law, Doris Noerenberg; nephews and their spouses: Marvin Lee and Geraldine Thielemann of Houston, Billie Noerenberg, and Gary and Debbie Noerenberg, all of Brenham. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Adolph Schulz, brothers Herbert, Willie and Alfred Noerenberg, sister Nelda Noerenberg and a sister-in-law, Mildred Noerenberg. Serving as pallbearers are Dave Schulz, Zane Schulz, Marvin Lee Thielemann, Henry Schmidt, Jr., Glen Spiess, Justin Kmiec, Johnnie Kmiec, and Patrick Koronka. Honorary pallbearers are Charles and Verlyn Mosley. Memorial contributions may be made to Welcome Lutheran Church Building Fund. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Memorial Oaks Chapel, 1306 W.
