Lillie Louise Meinecke Dietrich, 97, of Brenham, passed away Friday, May 5, 2006. Mrs. Dietrich was born in Burton, Texas, June 8, 1908, the daughter of William and Mary Louise Kasten Dietrich. She was confirmed at the Evangelical and Reformed Church in Burton, August 18, 1909 by Pastor H. P. Schulze and was confirmed at the Martin Luther Lutheran Church in Carmine September 7, 1922. She attended the Harmon School and was a lifelong member of St. John s United Church of Christ. On May 29, 1923, she married Oscar Dietrich at St. John s Lutheran Church in Giddings. She and her husband had the honor of celebrating their 50th, 60th, and 70th wedding anniversary. Survivors include sons & daughters in-law, Drs. Wilfred & Bobbie Dietrich of Brenham, and Raymond & Virginia Dietrich of Houston; daughter and friend, Nevilee Lauter and Jack Wage of Brenham, two grandchildren, Laurel Ann Dietrich Nickerson and husband Sherwin of Katy and Larry Dietrich and wife Rev. Patricia Dietrich of Hewitt, Texas, and five great grandchildren, Landon Nickerson of Orlando, Florida; Leisha Nickerson of College Station, Texas; Bethany Dietrich and Brian Dietrich of Hewitt, Texas and Leann Nickerson of Katy, Texas. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Mrs. Dietrich was preceded in death by her husband, Oscar Dietrich in 1994, her parents, brothers, sisters, and numerous nieces and nephews. The family will be receiving friends Saturday, May 6, 2006 from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. at the Memorial Oaks Chapel in Brenham. A visitation and viewing will be held from 2:00 to 4:00 P.M. Sunday, May 7, 2006 at St. John s United Church of Christ in Burton. The funeral service for Lillie Louise Meinecke Dietrich will be Sunday, May 7, 2006, at 4:00 P.M. at St. John s United Church of Christ in Burton with Pastor Glen Schoeneberg officiating. Interment will be in the St. John s Church Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the St. John s Church Cemetery Fund. Pallbearers will be Richard Wegner, William Wendler, Larry Winkelmann, Chance Janac, Franklin Fuchs, Nelson Felder, Jerry Wickel and Dennis Schulz. Her nephews will be considered as honorary pallbearers. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Memorial Oaks Chapel, 1306 West Main Street, in Brenham.
