Lillie M. Faist, 81, died October 1, 2017 in College Station.

A Graveside Service is scheduled for 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, October 4, 2017 at National Cemetery near Nelsonville, with Pastor Jill Vivroux officiating.

Visitation will be from 5 until 7 p.m. Tuesday at Memorial Oaks Chapel.

Lillie Faist was born February 16, 1936 in New Ulm to Lawrence and Olivia Bader Schramm. She was baptized and confirmed at Nelsonville Brethren Church, and attended schools in Industry and Bellville. After attending Modern Beauty College in Houston, she worked as a hairdresser for many years.

Family was very important to her, especially during the holidays. She enjoyed dancing, playing bingo, and taking trips to Louisiana to play the slot machines. Canning, baking and gardening were favorite pastimes. Lillie especially treasured time spent with her grandkids.

Survivors include sons and daughters-in-law Gary and Donna Krueger of Frelsburg; Fuzzy and Serena Krueger of Bleiblerville; Charlie and Anna Krueger of New Ulm, and Chuck Buechmann and special friend Angie Heidrich of Brenham; daughters and sons-in-law Karen and Rodney Stork, and Amy and Corey Klussmann, all of Brenham; sister and brother-in-law Oze and Lawrence Ruether of Eagle Lake; grandchildren: Dannah Krueger, Riley Krueger, Lacy Teran, Chase Krueger, Colby Krueger, Joshua Eickenhorst, Mason Stork, Braeden Stork, Hanna Krueger, Heather Krueger, Hunter Krueger, Cordel Klussmann, Connor Klussmann, Caleb Klussmann, Chloe Buechmann, Kimber Buechmann, and Cade Buechmann, and a great-grandchild, Ethan Sosa.

Lillie was preceded in death by her parents; brothers Lester, Leeland, and infant brother Melvin; sisters-in-law Shirley Schramm, Lena Schramm, and twin nephews William and Allen Schramm.

Serving as pallbearers are Joshua Eickenhorst, Riley Krueger, Chase Krueger, Colby Krueger, Mason Stork, Braeden Stork, Cordel Klussmann, and Connor Klussmann. All remaining grandchildren will be honorary pallbearers.

Memorials may be directed to the American Heart Association or to the Diabetes Foundation.
