Lillie Gross

Lillie Mae Klehm Gross, 84, passed away on November 27, 2023 in Temple, Texas surrounded by her family and loved ones.

Lillie was born on April 10, 1939 in Brenham, Texas to Henry and Lillian Quebe Becker. She was baptized on May 14, 1939 and later confirmed at St. John's Lutheran Church of Prairie Hill. She was united in marriage to Wilbert Paul Klehm (1959-1991) and then united in marriage to Eddie Gross (1994-1995) she remained with her companion James Ricks (1997-2020).

She was a beautician and owned and operated Lil's Beauty Salon in Brenham for many years. She was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church of Phillipsburg and Covenant Lutheran Church of Temple. She was a member of VFW Post 1820 and American Legion Post 133 and volunteered at the Veteran's Hospital in Temple, Tx.

She was preceded in death by her parents, spouses, four brother-in-laws, two sister-in-laws.

She is survived by her sons, Glen Klehm of Chappell Hill and Steve and Rose Ricks of Moody, Tx.; brother, H.C. Becker of Katy, Tx and sister-in-law, Florence Klehm of Chappell Hill; grandchild, Derek Klehm of Brenham. Two step Daughters, Mary Millard of Iowa and Nancy Alcozer of Belton, Tx.

Pallbearers are Steve Ricks, Forest Ward, Lonnie Tegeler, Steven Glaesmann, Ronnie Klehm, and Scott Shultz. Honorary Pallbearers are the church family of Covenant Lutheran Church and Jan Ebertowski.

Visitation will be from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm, Thursday, November 30, 2023 at Memorial Oaks Chapel. Funeral service will be at 2:00 pm, Friday, December 1, 2023 at St. Paul Lutheran Church of Phillipsburg with burial following in the church cemetery.

Memorials in her honor may be made to St. Paul Lutheran Church of Phillipsburg or a charity of your choice.
