Lillie Hohlt was born January 21, 1925 in Burton to Herman F. and Emma Spitzer Schultz. She was baptized April 25, 1925 by Rev. Weber at St. Paul Lutheran Church of Rehburg, where she was also confirmed on Sept. 3, 1939 by Rev. Lehne. On Dec. 7, 1944, she was married to Clarence W. Hohlt by Rev. Paul Czerkes, also at St. Paul Lutheran of Rehburg, where she remained a faithful member until her death.
Lillie served her church as a Sunday School teacher, and was a member of the Ladies Aid. She was also custodian at St. Paul Lutheran, cleaning the church for many years.

Lillie was employed at Maddox furniture and Nat’s Tiny Tots as a seamstress, and at Brenham Wholesale Grocery in the packing room.
Gardening was a favorite pastime. Helping to raise her grandchildren was one of her greatest accomplishments. Her great-grandson was a special joy to her. Lillie was always there to help anyone in need.
