Linda Faithauer

Linda Mae Hodde Faithauer, 79, of Brenham, died Jan. 31, 2007, at Trinity Medical Center in Brenham. Mrs. Faithauer was born Oct. 16, 1927, in Brenham to Willie and Rosa Finke Hodde. She was baptized Nov. 27, 1927 at St. John Lutheran Church of Prairie Hill and was confirmed April 6, 1941 in the same church. Mrs. Faithauer attended Kuykendall School. On Sept. 14, 1947, she was married to Herbert Faithauer at Immanuel Lutheran Church of Wiedeville. Mrs. Faithauer was a professional seamstress for more than 25 years at Maddox Furniture Manufacturing. Her family knew her as a wonderful and loving mother and wife who loved cooking and baking. She enjoyed dancing with her husband and spending time with her family. Survivors include her husband, Herbert Faithauer of Brenham; two sons and one daughter-in-law, Herbert Wayne and Mary Jane Faithauer of Brenham and Charles William Faithauer and Lisa A. Leverett of Gay Hill; one daughter and son-in-law, Linda Rose and Douglas Brinkman of Lyons; five grandchildren, Anthony Faithauer, April and Donald Bilski, Justin Faithauer, Patrick Faithauer and Brian Faithauer; three great-grandchildren, Brittany Bilski, Shelby Bilski and Garrett Bilski; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Alfred Arthur and Tina Hodde of Brenham and Clarence Edwin and Margaret Hodde of Hempstead; sister-in-law, Doris Hodde of Dodge City, Kansas; and numerous nieces, nephews and extended family members. She was preceded in death by her parents; and brother, Willie Hodde, Jr. The family will receive visitors from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 1 at Memorial Oaks Chapel. The funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, Feb. 2 at St. Paul s Evangelical Lutheran Church of Brenham with Pastor Lawrence Bade officiating. Burial will be in Prairie Lea Cemetery in Brenham. Pallbearers will be Arthur Dean Hodde, Arthur Scott Hodde, Jon Hodde, Danny Muegge, Robert Hodde, Alan Hodde, Jimmy Hodde, Alan Nanco and Russell Hodde. Memorials may be given to St. Paul s Evangelical Lutheran Church TV Ministry or a charity of your choice.
