Linda Fowler

Linda Margaret Fowler, age 82 of Brenham, Texas passed peacefully with her family surrounding her on October 12, 2024. She is preceded in death by her parents James and Laverne Estes and daughter Susan Stoltman.

Linda was born on June 27, 1942 in Ranger, Texas to James & Laverne Estes. She and her younger brother were raised in Houston, Texas and that is where she met her husband of 58 years, James Fowler. She and James (Jim) married in August 1966. She started her career in banking, then held a long-standing career in education administration. They raised their two daughters, Jill and Susan, in Houston, Texas and lived there before retiring to Brenham, Texas in 2000.

Linda was a dedicated and loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. Her most favorite past time was spending time with Jim, her family and friends. She enjoyed golfing, bowling, traveling, camping, playing cards and dominoes.

She instilled and valued family traditions and found joy in being surrounded by family. She was a very proud Mimi to her grandchildren and loved spoiling her great-grandchildren.

She was a member of the Cowboy Church of Brenham, Women's Bowling League and Brenham Country Club. She was a wonderful woman and will be truly missed.

Linda's life will be privately celebrated with family. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to MD Anderson or your charity of choice in her memory.
