Lonie Reue

Lonie Reue, 93, widow of Erwin H. Reue, passed away March 26, 2013 in Bryan. Funeral services are scheduled for 10 a.m., Thursday, March 28, 2013 at St. John Lutheran Church of Prairie Hill, with Pastor David Hansen officiating. Burial will follow in Prairie Lea Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6 until 8 p.m. Wednesday evening at Memorial Oaks Chapel. Lonie Reue was born October 16, 1919 in the Wiedeville Community of Washington Co. to Willie and Anna Krause Naumann. Baptized January 4, 1920 at St. John Lutheran Church of Prairie Hill, she was confirmed March 25, 1934 at Immanuel Lutheran Church of Wiedeville. She married Erwin H. Reue on December 1, 1938 at St. John Lutheran Church of Prairie Hill, where she remained a member until her death. She was also a member of the Ladies Aid for over 50 years. Lonie enjoyed playing cards, dancing and eating out. Gardening was a favorite hobby, and she worked hard to keep her front yard looking especially nice. Survivors include a son, David Reue, of Caldwell; daughter and son-in-law Millie and Charles Fuchs of Nacogdoches; grandchildren: Michaelyn and Mark Greene of Lufkin, Neil and Angela Fuchs of Kingwood, Stacy Stefka of Caldwell, Tammy and Mike Stevenson of College Station, and Christy and Shawn Faust of Caldwell; great-grandchildren: Miranda and Charles Anderson, Daniel Greene, Autumn Greene, Andrew Fuchs, Olivia Fuchs, Tanner Stefka, Trent Stefka, Caitlyn Faust, Savanah Faust, and Avery Stevenson; sister-in-law Selma Naumann of Brenham; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, a brother and sister who died in infancy, William and Anna Marie, brother, Calvin Naumann, daughter-in-law Ginger Reue, and brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Harry and Evelyn Reue. Serving as pallbearers are Neil Fuchs, Mark Greene, Shawn Faust, Mike Stevenson, Daniel Greene, Tanner Stefka, Charles Anderson, and Edward Degner. Memorials may be directed to St. John Lutheran Church of Prairie Hill, or to Hospice Brazos Valley. Funeral arrangements for Lonie Reue are entrusted to Memorial Oaks Chapel, 1306 W. Main, Brenham.
