Louise Belle Loesch, 93, of Brenham, passed away October 27, 2010 in Brenham Rest Home. Funeral services are scheduled for 10:00 a.m., Monday, November 1, 2010 at Immanuel Lutheran Church of Wiedeville, with Rev. Jim Abbott officiating. Burial will follow in Prairie Lea Cemetery. The family will receive friends and relatives Sunday evening from 3:00 until 5:00 p.m. at Memorial Oaks Chapel. Born May 2, 1917 in the Wiedeville Community of Washington County, she was baptized July 8, 1917 in Immanuel Lutheran Church of Wiedeville by Rev. K. Mueller, and later confirmed in the same church on March 20, 1932 by Rev. William Seidel. Miss Loesch was a lifetime member of Immanuel Lutheran Church of Wiedeville, where she was a member of the Ladies Aid, Ruth Circle 2. She taught Sunday School for over 50 years. She was perhaps best known for her wonderful wedding cakes, having baked cakes in the Brenham area for over 65 years. Survivors include her nieces: Mary Basye of Crockett, Lucille Meyer of Kemp, Geneva Caruthers of Brenham, Darla Stafford of Houston, Carol Carlile of Henderson; nephew Charles H. Tappe of Brenham. Preceding her in death were three brothers: Melvin, Roy and John, two sisters, Mary Tappe and Johnnie Mae Loesch; sister-in-law Louise Loesch and brother-in-law Eric W. Tappe. Serving as pallbearers are Bobby Schroeder, Darrell Meyer, Joe Carlile, Jim Bowden, Donald Moehlmann, and Jeffery Bowden. Honorary pallbearers are the members of the Ladies Aid, Ruth Circle. The family wishes to thank Brenham Rest Home and Hospice Brazos Valley for the care and love extended to Louise Belle. In lieu of flowers, please direct memorials to Hospice Brazos Valley or Immanuel Lutheran Church of Wiedeville. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Memorial Oaks Chapel, 1306 West Main, Brenham.
