Lyman Strietzel

Lyman "Pug" Douglas Strietzel passed away December 31, 2012 in Brenham, Tx. At the age of 82, while visiting his daughter and son-in-law. Affectionately known as "Pug" to all his family and friends, he was born February 25, 1938 in rural Rolla ND, the eighth child of Lota and Fredrick Strietzel. "Pug" was united in marriage to Marilyn Loretta Price on November 30, 1958, recently celebrating 62 years together. As a child, he loved to take things apart to see how they were made and then put the pieces back together again. It was a regular part of his entire life and his creations included a "snow plane" in the 60''s for hunting coyotes and fox, a motor home in the 70''s, and an airboat in the 80''s. He also built their home of more than 58 years on 11th Street in Williston, ND. "Pug" is survived by his wife, Marilyn; daughters, Wendy Lynn Bobby Pudwill of Brenham, TX, and Tina Joy Richard Lund of Williston, ND; 5 grandchildren: Dustin Kathy Lund, Pittsburgh, PA, Casey Cami Lund, Willison, ND, Michael Cass Lund, Fargo, ND, Jared Lund, Willison, ND, and Jami James Pudwill Ehmer, Spring, Tx, along with 6 great-grandchildren including Joshua Lund, Zoe Spellman, Jordan Lund, Jacob Ehmer, Taylor Ehmer, Jeanne Strietzel, and Tristan Ehmer, along with numerous nieces and nephews. Among those immediate family preceding "Pug" in death include his parents, Lota and Fred, parents-in-law, Harlan and Clara Price; daughter, Bonita Strietzel Miller, brothers Clayson, Lester, Gerald and Raymond, and sisters, Irma Tallman, Dorothy Guderjahn, Mina Guderjahn, and one infant great-granddaughter, Lund.
