Lynne Holder

Carol Lynne Little Holder, 68, of Chappell Hill, TX passed away on November 16, 2023.

Lynne was preceded in death by her parents, Charles Milby Little, IV and Carolyn Lois Morris. Lynne was born in Austin, Texas on August 22, 1955. Her family then moved to Fort Worth, where Lynne grew up. She received her bachelors' degree at the University of Texas in Austin and then went on to the University of Houston Law School where she earned her Doctor of Jurisprudence in 1981. Lynne became board certified in family law in 1986 and maintained her status until she closed her last office in Brenham, TX in 2018. In 1989, she became a Fellow of the Texas Bar Foundation, and taught Continuing Legal Education courses for the Texas Bar Association. Lynne was voted Super Lawyer by her peers within the Texas Bar Association in 2008, 2009 and 2010. She was civic minded, serving many committees as an active member of Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo and Brenham's Rotary Club.

Lynne's passion for life was contagious. She filled her days with hobbies and adventure, riding her horse all over the state, mastering falconry, scuba diving, snow skiing, hiking, and traveling. Her love for animals is unmatched, as anyone who has visited her ranch and seen her menagerie can attest.

Lynne is survived by her beloved husband of 26+ years Ron Holder, her brother and sister-in-law Keith and Carole Little (Huntsville, Texas), their children Victoria and Vincent, step-children Carol and Greg Tresan (Ball Ground, Georgia) and their daughter Devon, David and Jill Holder (Baton Rouge, Louisiana) and their children Elle and Peyton, brother-in-law Bob Holder (Texarkana, Texas) his children and grandchildren, and Steve and Carol Holder (McKinney, Texas), their children and grandchildren, many cousins and extended family members.
