Madeline Skinner

Madeline Wells Skinner, age 94, of Brenham, passed away on June 21, 2023. Visitation with the family will be on July 6, 2023, from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm at Memorial Oaks Chapel. Funeral services will be on July 7, 2023 at 1:00 pm, at Brenham Church of Christ. Madeline will be laid to rest with her late husband on July 10, 2023 at Houston National Cemetery. 

Madeline was born December 1, 1928 in Houston, Texas to parents Alvin Curtis Wells and Mary (Haltmar) Wells. She grew up in Houston. 

Madeline got married to Harvey Skinner and they enjoyed many happy years together prior to his passing. They traveled the world together, founded a very successful business, raised llamas, and made lifelong friends wherever they went.

In recent years, Madeline enjoyed her life in Brenham where she was a member of Brenham Church of Christ, member of the Fortnightly Club, and a phenomenal gardener.

Madeline is preceded in death by her husband Harvey in 2011, sons Don and Clyde, daughter-in-law Kathy, and granddaughter Alexandria.

Madeline is survived by her daughter Linda Broussard and grandson Morgan Broussard.
