Maggie M. Jankowski, 90, of Brenham, died May 2, 2007 in Trinity Medical Center in Brenham. Mrs. Jankowski was born May 11, 1916 in Chappell Hill, Texas to William John and Pearl Wozniak Kubeczka. She was baptized and later confirmed at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church in Chappell Hill. On October 25, 1947, she married Stanley Ike Jankowski at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church. Maggie was a long-time member of St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church in Houston and a member of St. Mary s Catholic Church in Brenham. She enjoyed spending quality time in her garden and taking care of her beautiful flowers. She always enjoyed cooking Sunday dinner for her family, especially her fried chicken. Maggie enjoyed spending a lot of time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She always looked elegant wearing her suits wherever she went, whether it was just going to church, weddings, or family functions. She truly was A Lady with Class, respected by many and loved by all. Survivors include sons and daughters-in-law, J. W. and Jen-E Jankowski of Brenham, and Danny and Elaine Jankowski, Sr., of Chappell Hill; brothers and sister-in-law Victor and Elizabeth Kubeczka and Charlie Kubeczka; sisters: Katie Meleski, Gertrude Kubeczka, Valeria Cegielski, Caroline Holub, and Blanche Twardowski; grandchildren: Danny and Heather Jankowski, Jr., Cliff and Tiffany Jankowski, Cody Jankowski, Vickie and Chip Wray, Amy and Troy Gardner, Joni Jankowski, and Mike Beliz; great-grandchildren: Weston Jankowski, Morgan Gardner, Emma Gardner, Wyatt Gardner, Elliot Gardner, Noah Gardner, and Emersyn Beliz. Mrs. Jankowski was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Stanley Jankowski, and three brothers and one sister. The Funeral Mass for Maggie M. Jankowski will be Saturday, May 5 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church in Chappell Hill with Father Vincent Chako and Monsignor Benedict Zientek, celebrants. Burial will follow in St. Stanislaus Catholic Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers are Danny Jankowski, Jr., Cliff Jankowski, Cody Jankowski, Chip Wray, Troy Gardner, Mike Beliz, Alfred Pawlak, and Walter Franklin. A visitation will be held from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m., Friday, May 4, at Memorial Oaks Chapel, with a Rosary Service at 7 p.m. Memorials may be given to Hospice of Brenham, St. Mary s Catholic Church, or to Trinity Medical Center.
