Malinda Wieghat Naumann, 71, of Brenham, died July 24, 2004, in a Navasota hospital. Mrs. Naumann was born June 28, 1933, in Brenham, to Henry and Lydia Finke Wieghat. She was baptized Aug. 27, 1933, in St. John Lutheran Church in Prairie Hill by Rev. Paul Gogolin and was confirmed April 10, 1949, in St. Paul s Evangelical Lutheran Church in Brenham. Mrs. Naumann was educated in Brenham schools. On Aug. 11, 1953, she was married to Lonnie Naumann. She was a homemaker and was a member of St. Paul s Evangelical Lutheran Church in Brenham. Survivors include her son, Darwin Naumann of Brenham; brothers and sisters-in-law, Lonnie Wieghat of Brenham, Henry Wieghat of Spring, Arnold Wieghat of Houston, Billy and Judy Wieghat of Flynn and Fritz and Mae Wieghat of Bedias; sister and brother-in-law, Allyne and Erwin Emshoff of Brenham; and sister-in-law, Nilah Wieghat of Houston. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Lonnie Naumann; and brother, Melvin. The funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, July 28 in St. Paul s Evangelical Lutheran Church in Brenham with Pastor Lawrence Bade and Pastor Kim Little-Brooks officiating. Burial will be in Prairie Lea Cemetery in Brenham. Pallbearers will be Wayne Naumann, Jerry Don Wieghat, Dean Wieghat, Keith Emshoff, Kweyn Emshoff and Emmit Lehmann. Memorials may be given to St. Paul s Evangelical Lutheran Church in Brenham. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Memorial Oaks Chapel, 1306 W. Main St., in Brenham.
