Margaret Dannhaus

Margaret Evyonne Williams Dannhaus, 82, of Brenham, wife of Elwood Dannhaus, died July 5, 2014 in Brenham. Funeral services are scheduled for 10 a.m., Wednesday July 9, 2014 at St. James Lutheran Church of New Wehdem, with Pastor Jill Vivroux officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends and relatives Tuesday evening from 6 until 8 p.m. at Memorial Oaks Chapel. Evyonne Dannhaus was born March 11, 1932 in Madisonville, Texas to John Riley and Ruth Ann Vice Williams. She was baptized into the Baptist faith and was later confirmed into the Lutheran faith. On Feb. 23, 1968, she married Elwood Dannhaus, and continued membership at St. James Lutheran Church of New Wehdem until her death. Evyonne served her community for 40 years as a beautician, operating Evyonne''s Beauty Shop, located next to her home. She enjoyed visiting her family in Alabama, as well as trips to Louisiana where she loved to hit "triple 7s". Evyonne was happy to spend time with her children and grandchildren in Rockport, teaching them all about crabbing. She always said "thank God I married Elwood. He is so good to me". She loved to go out to eat with her family, and enjoyed sitting on her front porch while watching the hummingbirds and smelling the roses. Visiting with out-of-town relatives at the annual Williams family reunion was great fun for years. She was well-known as a feisty, but fun-loving redhead. Survivors include her husband, Elwood Dannhaus of Brenham; sons and daughters-in-law Larry and Deborah Clepper and Robert "Rusty" Clepper; daughters and sons-in-law Paula and Ron Baade and Melissa and Mark Moehlmann; grandchildren: Chris Baade Kara, Bo Baade Randi Jessica Thayne Eric, Jennifer Clepper Diane, Michael Lawhon, Dillon and Tina Bilski, Amanda Clepper, Chanda Clepper, Sara Beth Bohl, and Hanna Moehlmann; great-grandchildren: Brianna, Bailey, Braden and Tanner Baade, Cade and Reese Baade, Danica Thayne, Olivia Stephenson, Bricin Kapchinski, Teagan and Emmalee Escobedo, Blaine and Brooklyn Bohl; great-great granddaughter, Leighton Baade; brothers Bill Williams and wife Gladys, and Willie Williams; sister Nelda Wilke, sister-in-law Tillie Williams, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives. She was preceded in death by her parents, a sister, Juanita Williams, brother, J. T. Williams, sister Betty Jo Kingston and late husband, Paul Clepper. Memorials may be directed to Hospice Brazos Valley or St. James Lutheran Church of New Wehdem. Funeral arrangements for Margaret Evyonne Dannhaus are entrusted to Memorial Oaks Chapel, 1306 W.
