Margaret Ligues

Margaret Ligues, 83, of Brenham, died March 2, 2017, at her residence.

The funeral service will be held Sunday, March 5 at 2:00 p.m. at Memorial Oaks Chapel with Rev. Bob Hofmann officiating. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery in Burton. Visitation will be from 5:00-7:00 p.m. Saturday, March 4 at Memorial Oaks Chapel.

Miss Ligues was born July 20, 1933, in Burton, TX, to Tito and Chona Regino Ligues. She was employed 18 years as a care giver at a church nursery.

Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Benjamin and Melissa Ligues of Brenham; brothers and sisters-in-law, Ambrosio and Josephine Ligues and Johnny and Darlene Ligues, all of Brenham; sisters, Paz Ligues Kellogg of Crystal Falls, MI, Frances Ligues of Brenham and Victoria Ligues Meschwitz of Brenham; granddaughter, Veronica Monique Ligues; great-grandchildren, Diamond Rochelle Ligues and Makayla Ligues Green; niece, Marchell Meschwitz; nephew, Edward De La Crus; and numerous other nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and brother, Willie Ligues.

Memorials may be directed to Bethany Christian Church in Burton or Hospice Brazos Valley.
