Margaret I. Miiller Wensel, 83, of Brenham, widow of Edwin Wensel, died June 23, 2010. Funeral services will be held Saturday, June 26, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. in St. John''s United Church of Christ in Burton, with burial following in the church cemetery. Greg Felder will officiate. The family will receive friends and relatives Friday evening from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at Memorial Oaks Chapel. Margaret was born March 8, 1927 in Castell, Texas in Llano County to Carl W. and Frieda Tonne Miiller. She was baptized April 20, 1927 by Rev. H. F. Peiman, and confirmed June 12, 1953 by Rev. E. H. Schwengel in St. John''s Evangelical Church of Burton. She was married to Edwin Wensel on November 7, 1953 by Rev. E. H. Schwengel in St. John''s Evangelical Church of Burton. Margaret was a homemaker and babysitter. A member of St. John''s United Church of Christ of Burton, Margaret loved spending time with her grandchildren. Taking care of her plants and visiting with friends on the phone were favorite pastimes. Survivors include daughters and sons-in-law Brenda and Larry Herr of Bleiblerville, and Joyce and Bruce Hohlt of Brenham; grandchildren Shelbie Leight Hohlt of Brenham, Nicholas Ryan Herr of Bleiblerville, and Shayna Maria Hohlt of Brenham; brother and sister-in-law Homan and Inez Miiler of Llano; sister Lorien Miiler of Llano, and sister and brother-in-law Olien and Richard Crenshaw of Breckenridge, as well as special friend, Dorothy Hohlt of Brenham. Preceding her in death were her parents, Carl and Frieda Miiler; husband Edwin Wensel, who passed away in 2003; sister and brother-in-law Ella and Ralph Toellner; sister-in-lw and brother-in-law Clara and Robert Koerth, and mother-in-law and father-in-law, Mathilda and August Wensel. Serving as pallbearers are Donald Becker, Johnny Jankowiak, Bill Nowicki, Michael Hohlt, Bill Hohlt, Bryan Rothermel, and Gary Herr. Memorials may be directed to St. John''s United Church of Christ of Burton or to a favorite charity. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Memorial Oaks Chapel.
