Margarett Lavern Carmichael

Margarett Lavern (Sanders) Carmichael, 81 of Brenham passed away on May 14, 2024.  A Celebration of Life will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 25, 2024 at Snook Assembly of God with Pastor Dennis Bonnet officiating.

Margarett was born on July 31, 1942 in Abilene, TX to James Clinton Sanders and Audrey Victoria (Alexander) Sanders. She was united in marriage to James Robert Carmichael, Sr. on July 10, 1977 in Houston, TX. For many years she owned a business that sold antiques.

Those left to cherish Margarett’s memory are her sons and daughters-in-law, Larry and Julie Burnside and Terry and Claudia Burnside; son, James Robert Carmichael, Jr.; daughters and sons-in-law, Sherry (Burnside) and Ronnie Eldridge and Tammi and Phillip Brantner; daughters, Shelia Heermans, Sue Seely and Rhonda Hartman. Grandchildren, Amanda Cone, Alexander Burnside, Andre Burnside, Allen Burnside, Erica Lovell, Brianna “Annie” Crick, Brittney Hagendorf, Seth Brantner, Nathan Brantner, Danielle Eldridge, Regina White, Amanda Eldridge, Trey Carmichael, Jacob Wade and Erin McKinney. Great-Grandchildren, Kooper, Bentley, Myah, Rowan, Isla, Beatrice, Harrison, Hattie, Hayden, River, Wilder, Ledger, Rhyder, Blakely, Kaitlin, Keegan, Dakota, Lane, Pierce, Paisley, Anthony, Mattie, Grayson, Evelyn and Elias.

She was preceded in death by her parents.
