Margie Newman

Margie Janet Newsom Newman, 83, went home to the Lord on May 1, 2015. Funeral services are scheduled for 11 a.m., Tuesday, May 5, 2015 at Memorial Oaks Chapel. Visitation will begin at 10 a.m. Tuesday prior to the service. Pastor Jon Stouffer will officiate. A private burial will take place at Masonic Cemetery in Chappell Hill. Janet was born March 8, 1932 to Rosa and Jim Newsom in Bellville, Tx. She is survived by her husband of 63 years, Al J. Newman; daughter Nancy Maxey; grandsons Noel Maxey and James E. Newman; great-granddaughter Lincoln Marie Maxey, and daughter-in-law Gail Newman. She was preceded in death by her son, David L. Newman and several other family members. Janet was a graduate of Bellville High School, and the University of Houston, with a degree in Speech Therapy.
