Marilyn Becker

Marilyn Palm Becker, 72, wife of H. C. Becker, died February 13, 2017 at her residence in Katy.

Funeral services are scheduled for 10 a.m., Friday, February 17, 2017 at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church of Phillipsburg, with Pastor Robert Sorensen officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be from 6 until 8 p.m. Thursday at Memorial Oaks Chapel.

Marilyn was born on March 12, 1944 in Bellville,Texas to Myrtle (Vornkahl) and Fred Palm, Jr. She was raised in Milheim and graduated from Bellville High School in 1962. She married H. C. Becker on October 23, 1964. She devoted her career to the insurance industry as an adjuster for 44 years. She and HC made their home in Katy, Texas where she resided when she returned to the Lord on February 13, 2017.

She is survived by her husband, H. C. Becker; her sister, Avis Palm Pouncy; sister-in-law Lillie Mae Becker Gross; nieces and nephews Glenn Klehm, Shelia Wilkes, Tracy and Melvin Pouncy, Jr., Teresa Kelly and Becky and Darrin Pouncy, several great nieces and nephews, as well as a great great niece and nephew.

Serving as pallbearers are Billy Palm, Larry Loesch, Melvin Pouncy, Jr., Glen Klehm, Darrin Pouncy, and Emery Schulze. Honorary pallbearers are Walter Loesch, Warner Newmann, Donald Schroeder, Russell Schroeder, Bobby Arndt, Mike Grunder, and Greg Gaskamp.

Memorials may be directed to the Cemetery Fund of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church of Phillipsburg, 2739 Phillipsburg Road, Brenham, Tx. 77833, or to Hospice Compassus of Katy, 1770 St. James Place, Ste. 330, Houston, Tx. 77056.
