Marilyn Jurries Lueckemeyer, 80, wife of Wesley Norman Lueckemeyer, died October 9, 2009 at her residence in Cypress, Texas. Mrs. Lueckemeyer was born January 25, 1929 in Greenvine to Robert and Rosa Rippel Jurries. She graduated from Brenham High School in 1946. On July 3, 1947 she was married to Wesley Norman Lueckemeyer at First Baptist Church in Brenham. She worked for many years at the American Can Company in Houston, Texas. She also enjoyed being a homemaker, working with stained glass and quilting. In 1974 Marilyn and Wesley moved to William Penn, Texas. She was a member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church and served in the LWML. She lived her life in service to others and was an example of unconditional love to all who met her. She is survived by her husband, Wesley Norman Lueckemeyer; sons and daughters-in-law Clayton and Ruth Lueckemeyer and Wayne and Candy Lueckemeyer; grandchildren Heather Lueckemeyer, Kurt & wife Rachel Lueckemeyer, Matthew and wife Beth Lueckemeyer and Anna Lueckemeyer; step-grandchildren Robyn Bradford and Loryn & Brett Beck, great grandchild Braeden. She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Rosa Jurries, brothers Vernon Jurries, Maurice Jurries, Robert J. Jurries, sisters, Irene Weaver, Mildred Ellisor and Dorothy Campbell. Funeral Services will be held at Memorial Oaks Chapel in Brenham, Texas on Wedneday, October 14, 2009 at 1:00 p.m. Visitation will take place Tuesday evening from 5:30 until 7:30 p.m. at Memorial Oaks Chapel. Burial will be in Prairie Lea Cemetery in Brenham. Serving as pallbearers are Kurt Lueckemeyer, Matthew Lueckemeyer, Anna Lueckemeyer, John Campbell, Robert Campbell, Terry Lueckemeyer, Steve Leffingwell and Jerry Winston.
