Marilyn Raffo

Marilyn M. Raffo (McDonnell) passed away on December 6, 2022, after a long battle with a lung disease. She was 74 years old. Marilyn was the proud mother of three boys. Marilyn’s greatest love was her family and caring for others.

She was born in Lynn, Massachusetts on January 22, 1948, to James and Mary Catherine Mynes. She studied at Lipscomb and Rutgers Universities. She was a lifelong nurse in South Jersey specializing in elder care and most recently worked for Dr. Salartash in Egg Harbor Township as a Lymphedema Specialist.

Faith was a cornerstone of her life and she was a longtime member of Emmanuel Church and Redeemer Lutheran Church.

She is survived by her husband David, brother Robert Mynes, three sons and their wives; Matthew and Amanda McDonnell; Richard and Elise McDonnell; and Jeff and Cassie McDonnell; grandchildren Samantha and Hannah McDonnell, Adelle McDonnell, and Scarlett McDonnell. All of these she loved and touched deeply.

Pall Bearers: Rodney Wittner, Craig Conner, Michael Marburger, Alan Schwettmann, Gary McGuire, and Richard McDonnell.

Visitation will be from 10:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 14, 2022 with a graveside service starting at 12:00 pm. all at  the Zionsville Lutheran Church Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Atlantic County Humane Society or The Pilgrim Academy.
