Marjorie Margie Schroeder, 78, of Brenham, widow of Charlie C.B. Schroeder Jr., died Sunday, November 15, 2009 in St. Joseph''s Regional Health Center in Bryan. Margie was born August 5, 1931 in Washington County to Willie Sr. and Ella Buerger Becker. Baptized September 6, 1931 in St. Matthew Lutheran Church of Sandy Hill by Pastor George Czerkus, she was also confirmed there by Pastor W. C. Poehlmann on March 25, 1945. She was educated in Brenham public schools, and was married to C. B. Schroeder, Jr. in St. Matthew Lutheran Church by Pastor A. M. Fiedler on January 20, 1951. Along with her husband and family, she owned and managed the Starlite Drive-In Theater in Brenham for many years, as well as the adjoining mobile home park and K&S Collectibles. She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church of Zionsville. Survivors include daughters and sons-in-law Beverly and Larry Koehler and Linda and Roy Boehnemann, all of Brenham; grandchildren: Chris and Stephanie Koehler, Cindy Koehler, Michelle and Gil Janner, and Pamela Boehnemann; great-grandchildren: Bethany and Corbin Janner; brothers and sisters-in-law Willie and Joyce Becker, Jr. of Houston, and James and Betty Becker of Brenham; sister and brother-in-law, Floreen and Ronnie Juergens, of Brenham; sister-in-law and brother-in-law Ruth and Roy McWilliams of College Station. Also surviving are numerous nieces and nephews, special friends Annie Mae Rogers and Hank and Beverly Modgling, as well as the staff of Trinity Care Center and her residential friends. Preceding her in death were her parents and her husband, C. B. Schroeder, Jr. on August 9, 2009. Funeral arrangements for Marjorie Schroeder will be held Thursday, November 19, 2009 at 10:00 a.m. at Zion Lutheran Church of Zionsville, with Pastor David Hall officiating. Burial will take place in Prairie Lea Cemetery. The family will receive friends and relatives Wednesday evening at Memorial Oaks Chapel from 5:30 until 7:30 p.m. Serving as pallbearers are Chris Koehler, Gil Janner, Cindy Reimer, Jennifer Lightfoot, David Rothermel, Ronnie Becker, Spencer Becker, and Joy Becker. All Camp Ranch Hunters will be considered honorary pallbearers. Memorials may be directed to Zion Lutheran Church of Zionsville. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Memorial Oaks Chapel, 1306 W. Main, Brenham. 979 836-4564.
