Mark Charles Knipstein, 65, of Brenham passed away on January 4, 2023 at his home. A Celebration of Life will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 7, 2023 at Memorial Oaks Chapel with Pastor Ken Weiss officiating. Family will be present at 9:30 a.m. prior to the service.
Mark was born on October 22, 1957 in Brenham, Texas to parents James Milroy and Rita Marie (Wrobleski) Knipstein. He was baptized at St. John’s United Church of Christ in Burton, Tx and confirmed at Eben-Ezer Lutheran Church. On June 4, 1977 he was united in marriage to Deborah Lynn Hamilton at Eben-Ezer Lutheran Church.
He was retired from Site Maintenance at Blue Bell Creameries. He was a member of Eben-Ezer Lutheran Church of Berlin. He loved watching old western shows and going hunting, he was an avid Houston Astro’s fan. Family was very important to him and he loved being around them especially his grandchildren.
Mark is survived by his wife, Deborah; his mother, Rita Knipstein; sons and daughters-in-law, James C. and Tara Knipstein of Brenham, Tx, Daniel and Stephanie Knipstein of St. Joseph, MO. Grandchildren, Jaxson Lampe, Logan Lampe, Layton Knipstein, Haven Knipstein, Liam Knipstein and River Knipstein. Sister, Connie Knipstein; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Marsha and Sonny Dannhaus.
He was preceded in death by his father, James M. Knipstein; Son, Colt M. Knipstein; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Durwood and Johnnie Hamilton.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be given in Mark’s name to Eben-Ezer Lutheran Church of Berlin.
