Martha Liner

Martha Clara Liner, 85, widow of William (Bill) Liner, passed away October 22, 2016 in Houston.

Funeral services are scheduled for 10 a.m., Thursday, October 27, 2016 at Memorial Oaks Chapel, with Pastor Jon Stouffer officiating. Burial will be at 1:30 p.m. Thursday in Sealy City Cemetery in Sealy, Texas.

Martha Liner was born October 29, 1930 in Aulander, North Carolina to Sherwood Stephen and Martha Valley Morris Ellington.

Survivors include sons Rusty Liner and wife Lacey of Sugarland; Ken Smith and wife Sarah of Cypress; Mike Smith and wife Diane of Lewisville; Ross Smith; daughter-in-law, Patti Smith of Georgetown ; daughter Elizabeth Gibson and husband Reggie of Katy; grandchildren: Will Liner, Tyler Smith, Katie Smith, Brian Smith, Brooke Smith, Taylor Smith, Shelby Smith, Ashley Sharp, Jalen Gibson, Jaida Herndon, and J. M. Jones; great-grandchildren: Kallen Smith, Thatcher Smith, and Tatum Smith.

Martha was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Bill Liner; a son, Gary Smith, as well as five sisters and two brothers.

Martha was a loving, generous person who treasured time spent with her family. She enjoyed traveling and working crossword puzzles. Gardening and taking care of her lawn on her riding lawnmower were favorite pastimes. She was a member of the Methodist Church.

Memorials may be directed to any favorite charity.
