Martha Worsham

Martha J. Billie Worsham, 80, of Brenham, died in her residence on the night of Friday, August 25, 2006. Born in Franklin, Texas on August 14, 1926, Billie was the daughter of Joseph Lee & Mattie Curry Yates. She graduated from Franklin High School and was a graduate of The University of Houston. On April 16, 1952, Billie and William Bill Worsham were married in Harbor Baptist Church; Houston, Texas. Mrs. Worsham was a school libriarian and a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Brenham. Survivors include her husband, William Worsham of Brenham; her sons and daughter-in-law: Stanley Worsham of Houston and Stephen & Ruthi Worsham of Allen; her daughter, Suzan Miller of Sugarland and her grandchildren: Alexandria, Phillip, Madeleine and Nathan Worsham, along with Brittany, Chandler and Dylon Miller. She is preceded in death by her parents, a brother and three sisters. The family will receive callers in Memorial Oaks Chapel on Sunday evening, August 27, between 6 o clock and 8 o clock. The funeral service will be in Calvary Baptist Church; 1100 Niebuhr St., Brenham at noon on Monday, August 28, 2006 with Rev. Dean Meade and Rev. Larry Embry officiating. The graveside service will be conducted in Lake Grove Cemetery; Iola, Texas at 3:30 p.m. on Monday. Her grandsons will serve as pallbearers. Memorials may be given either to Calvary Baptist Church-Brenham or Hospice of Brenham: 302 E. Blue Bell Road, Brenham, Texas 77833. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to the care of Memorial Oaks Chapel, Inc.; 1306 W. Main St., Brenham, Texas.
