Marvin Royce Schulte, 66, of Brenham, died Dec. 25, 2007, at his residence. Mr. Schulte was born Sept. 19, 1941, in Burton, Texas, to Ben and Ruby Deiss Schulte. He was baptized at Greenvine Baptist Church. Mr. Schulte attended Burton schools and Blinn College. On June 29, 1962, he was married to Bobbie Follis in Greenvine Baptist Church. Mr. Schulte was a member of Greenvine Baptist Church, Texas LP Gas Association, Burton Lions Club and Brenham Band Parents Club for 19 years. He was also a charter member of Brenham Young Farmers and past member of Berlin-Mill Creek-Zionsville Volunteer Fire Department. Mr. Schulte worked 20 years for Propane Gas Service Co. and five years for Fayetteville Propane Co. After retirement, he worked two years part time at Apple Dodge. Mr. Schulte enjoyed having breakfast with friends at Santa Fe Café, visiting with family and friends, working at Brenham Farmers Market and being with his grandchildren. Survivors include his wife, Bobbie Schulte of Brenham; two daughters and a son-in-law, Sally and Terry Clifton and Susan Schulte, all of Houston; grandchildren, Olivia Clifton and Travis Clifton; brother and sister-in-law, Randy and Helen Schulte of Greenvine; father-in-law and mother-in-law, T.R. and Ruth Follis of Brenham; two sisters-in-law and a brother-in-law, Becky Demuth of Brenham and Nancy and Joe Schubert of Houston and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ben and Ruby Schulte; infant brother, Roland Schulte; infant sister, Rosalie Schulte; and brother-in-law, David Demuth. Visitation with the family will be from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 27 at Memorial Oaks Chapel. The funeral service will be at 1:00 p.m. Friday, Dec. 28 at Greenvine Baptist Church in Greenvine with Rev. Bob Gregory officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Pallbearers will be Joseph Schubert, Roger Huebner, John Beckendorf, Mike McIntyre, Robert Rippenhagen, Doug Macat, Sam Boyd and Rollin Boyd. Honorary pallbearers will be Raymond Bennett, Roger Moon, Bill Young, Jim Brown, Jim Witte, Tommy Russell, Ernie Mann and his breakfast group from Santa Fe Café: Elwood Goldberg, Victor Arlitt, A.W. Hodde, Jr., Greg Joiner, Greg Appel, John Herrmann, Charlie Matejowski and Wilbur Holt. Memorials may be given to Greenvine Baptist Church or Burton Lions Club.
