Mary Beth (Cecil) Holle of Flower Mound, TX passed away June 3, 2023 at the age of 70. She will be buried at Bethlehem Lutheran Church Cemetery of William Penn. The funeral service will be held at Memorial Oaks Chapel on Thursday, June 8, 2023 at 10:00 a.m. with Pastor Rusty Sullivan and Pastor Nick Schmidlin officiating. Visitation will be Wednesday from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. with family present from 5:00 pm to 7:00 p.m.
Mary was born on July 10, 1952 in Houston, Texas to Eleanor M. (Korth) and Thomas M. Cecil. She was baptized at NS Methodist and later confirmed at Eben Ezer Lutheran Church.
On December 1, 1970 she married Donald Holle at Eben Ezer Lutheran Church in Brenham, Texas. She and Donnie made their home in the William Penn community for the next 15 years with their 2 daughters, Angie and Christie. The family moved to Marble Falls, TX In 1985. She then became a member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church at this time. In 2020, she moved to Flower Mound, TX. She then became a member of Faith Lutheran Church.
Mary Beth is survived by daughters; Angie Atkinson and husband Billy, as well as Christie Bowyer and husband Greg. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Lilly Gullett and husband Zach, Courtney Shain and husband Quealy, Holly Atkinson, James Peltoma, Corrigan Grato and husband Austin, Makenzie Bowyer and fiancé Jason Bockemehl, William Bowyer, and Audrey Bowyer. She is also survived by brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Roger and Elvera Schroeder, brother-in-law Waldo Holle, and sister-in-law Mildred Holle.
She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Donald Holle; brother-in-law, Bernard Holle, and sister-in-law, Lois Holle.
Mary Beth enjoyed needlepoint and embroidery, spending time with family on camping trips with her husband Donnie and grandchildren, baking angel food and banana cake, and spending time with her cherished corgi Willy. She made it a point to make God a priority and share God's grace with all. You could often see her working in VBS as a volunteer at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church, or helping others.
Memorials may be made in her name to Bethlehem Lutheran Church of William Penn, St. Peter's Lutheran Church of Marble Falls or Faith Lutheran Church of Flower Mound.
Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Memorial Oaks Chapel, 1306 West Main St., Brenham.
