Mary Pomykal

Mary Katherine Sander Pomykal, 71, of Houston, passed away in Abilene, Texas on January 18, 2012. Funeral services are scheduled for 11 a.m., Saturday, January 21, 2012 in First United Methodist Church in Brenham, with Rev. Dale Chance officiating. Interment will follow in Prairie Lea Cemetery. Visitation will be held Friday evening from 6 until 8 p.m. at Memorial Oaks Chapel. Mary was born January 13, 1941 in Brenham to Herbert Henry and Katherine Margaret Eckhardt Sander. She was employed as a corporate comptroller in the manufacturing industry. Survivors include her son, Kenneth Earl Pomykal of Lexington; daughter and son-in-law Kathy Sue and Kenneth Preston of Cisco; grandchildren: Garrett Hicks, Kory Pomykal, Kelle Pomykal, Autumn Hicks, and Cierra Pomykal; great-grandchild, Trinity Bolton, and brother and sister-in-law, Charles and Carolyn Ann Sander of Brenham. She was preceded in death by her parents. Serving as pallbearers are Garrett Hicks, Kory Pomykal, Heath Busk, Charles Hershel Sander, Craig Sander, Timothy Spreen, Earl Pomykal, and Paul Pipes. Memorials may be directed to the American Lung Association. Funeral arrangements for Mary Katherine Sander Pomykal are entrusted to Memorial Oaks Chapel, 1306 W. Main, Brenham.
