Mary Lou Ulrich, 91, of Bastrop, passed away on November 16, 2023. Mary Lou was born on September 26, 1932, in Canton, Ohio to Alex and Anna Sabo Gasper. She married Johnny Ulrich on May 17, 1952.

Mary Lou worked as a secretary in the oil and gas industry. She was active in her church, Christ United, when she lived in Cypress; and St. Matthew Lutheran Church in Sandy Hill. She loved to sew and paint. More than anything, she loved to get together with family and friends.

She is survived by son and daughter-in-law, Johnny and Gwen Ulrich of Cypress, TX; Daughters and sons-in-law, Sherry and David Teller of Pflugerville, TX, Wendy and Brian Potter of Bastrop, TX; sisters-in-law Dorothy Fitt, Colleen Shuck, Rosemary Treichel and Carolyn Gasper. She is also survived by grandchildren, Jenny Williams and husband Kris, Amanda Kubeczka and husband Kyle, Matthew Ulrich, Kerri Houck and husband Brad, Michael Teller and wife Rachael, Laura Teller and husband Jonathan Crabtree, and David Eric Teller; great-grandchildren Kesler, Ruthie, Stori, Milo, Dottie, Noble, Graham and Truitt Williams, Oliver Kubeczka, Benjamin Teller, Theodore Teller and Evelyn Crabtree.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Johnny Ulrich.

Serving as pallbearers will be Kris Williams, Kyle Kubeczka, Matthew Ulrich, Brad Houck, Michael Teller, David Teller and Jonathan Crabtree.

A visitation will be held from 7:00 a.m. - 7:00 p.m., Thursday, November 30, 2023, at Memorial Oaks Chapel with the family present from 5:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m.

A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, December 1, 2023, at St. Matthew Lutheran Church of Sandy Hill with Pastor Bill Morris officiating. Burial will follow at the church cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be directed to St. Matthew Lutheran Church of Sandy Hill.

Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Memorial Oaks Chapel, 1306 West Main Street, Brenham, TX 77833.
