Matthew Engeling

Matthew Wayne Engeling, 40, of Brenham, TX. Matt Passed away on March 3, 2015 at St. Joseph Hospital in Bryan, TX. Matt was born on July 10, 1974 in Brenham, TX to Floyd and Mary "Cookie" Engeling. Matt was Baptized at St. Mary Catholic Church and Confirmed at St. Paul''s Lutheran Church of Brenham. Matt graduated from Brenham High School, class of 1993. Matt is survived by his mama, Mary "Cookie" Engeling of Brenham and his daddy, Floyd Engeling and wife Joan of Harlingen, TX; his brother Mark Engeling and friend Kristie, his children Kayla Engeling and friend Don, Tyler Engeling and friend Jordan, and Cheyenne Engeling all of Brenham, grandchildren Kayden Patterson and Blake Engeling; nephews David, Christopher, Marshal and Cody Engeling; and his fiance'' Krystal Counterman. Matt is preceded in death by his Grandparents Raymond and Hattie Engeling and Louis and Ellen Parker. Matt loved being on the water and being outdoors. He was always there for his family and friends. Matt had an insane sense of humor that everyone enjoyed. His laugh was infectious and he had a smile that will forever be remembered in our hearts. Visiting and viewing will be from 12:30-1:45pm Saturday, March 7 at Memorial Oaks Chapel, located at 1306 Main St. Brenham, TX. Memorial service will follow in the chapel at Memorial Oaks at 2:00 pm Saturday officiated by Pastor Jim Abbott of St. John Lutheran Church of Prairie Hill. In lieu of flowers the family request contributions be made in Matt''s name to St. John Lutheran Church of Prairie Hill.
