Matthew Krause

Matthew Bill Krause, 30, of Round Top, Texas, died June 7, 2011, at his residence. Funeral services will be held Saturday, June 11 at 10:30 a.m. at Grace Lutheran Church of Brenham with Pastor Matthew Jacobs officiating. Burial will be in Florida Chapel Cemetery in Round Top. The family will receive visitors from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Friday, June 10 at Memorial Oaks Chapel. Matthew was born November 28, 1980 in Brenham, Texas, to Billy and Kami Brau Krause. For the last 12 years Matthew suffered excruciating pain. He suffered from treatment-resistant severe and disabling obsessive compulsive disorder, anxiety and depression. You couldn''t meet a more wonderful and kind person than Matthew. He loved everybody so much. His pride and joy was his car, The Silver Bullet. He gave everything he had to fight this horrible illness. He was our hero, our inspiration, our precious baby boy. Survivors include his parents, Billy and Kami Krause of Round Top; grandfather, Arthur Brau; grandmother, Hildegard Krause; aunts and uncles, Kyle and Joyce Brau, Kerri and Don Woltmann, Lisa and Matt Moudry, Jane and Dwight Hoffman and Irene and David Hempel; and numerous cousins. He also leaves behind his puppy, Buddy. Matthew was preceded in death by his grandfather, Arnold H. Krause; and grandmother, Ruth Brau. Pallbearers will be Matt Moudry, Dr. Richard Smith, Allen Gerson, Jerry Harris, Mike Brau, Billy Brau, Rocky Ullrich, Dr. Stephen Liter, and Leroy Polnick. Memorials may be given to Grace Lutheran School or the OCF Foundation. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Memorial Oaks Chapel, 1306 W. Main St., Brenham.
