Max Harry Faterkowski, 87, the husband of Maggie Zientek Faterkowski, died July 9, 2015 in Houston. The Funeral Mass is scheduled for 10 a.m., Monday, July 13, 2015 at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church in Chappell Hill, with Msgr. Benedict Zientek, Celebrant, and Deacon John Pelletier. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 until 7 p.m. Sunday evening at Memorial Oaks Chapel, with a Rosary scheduled for 7 p.m. Max Faterkowski was born June 6, 1928 in Bellville to Bruno and Stella Mazurkiewicz Faterkowski. Baptized as an infant, and later confirmed in the Catholic faith, he was a member of St. Stanislaus Catholic Church until his death. On October 30, 1954, he married Maggie Zientek, and worked as a tile setter, and later, as a machinist. He loved hunting and fishing, playing the fiddle, and listening to Polish music. Playing dominoes and cards with his friends were enjoyable pastimes. His dogs Tilly and Mickey were special companions. Survivors include his wife, Maggie Faterkowski of Chappell Hill; sons and daughters-in-law Harry and Doris Faterkowski of Chappell Hill and Robert and Rose Marie Faterkowski of Houston; daughters and sons-in-law Jeanne and David Bunch of Cypress, and Jeannette and Richard Bartels of Tomball; grandchildren: Ryan and Kim Faterkowski, Rachel Faterkowski, Morgan and Scott Cooke, Meagan Faterkowski, Christopher Faterkowski, Matthew and Allison Bunch, Ashley Bartels; step-grandchildren: Ryan Bartels and Eric Bartels; great-grandchildren: Steven and Rylee Faterkowski; sister, Helen Pawlowski of Willis. Also surviving are numerous sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, and other relatives. Preceding him in death were his parents, nine brothers and two sisters. Serving as pallbearers are Ryan Faterkowski, Christopher Faterkowski, Larry Faterkowski, David Faterkowski, Daniel Faterkowski, Scott Cooke, Donald Pawlowski, and Alphonse Krolczyk. Honorary pallbearers are Matthew Bunch, his card and domino playing buddies, Johnny and Bernice Jozwiak, Pete and Pauline Mazurkiewicz, and Mike Zawacki.
