Max Twardowski, 87, of Brenham, died January 20, 2010 in Trinity Care Center. Max was born September 25, 1922 to Chester and Mary Murski Twardowski in Brenham. Baptized and confirmed in St. Mary''s Catholic Church, he later attended St. Mary''s Catholic School. He was a member of K.J.T. and the Knights of Columbus, and worked as a farmer and rancher. Survivors include sisters Martha Kubeczka of Chappell Hill, and Mary Matthew Twardowski of San Antonio, niece and nephew, Harry and Mary Ann Pawlak of Bellville, who were his caregivers; sisters-in-law Barbara Twardowski and Agnes Twardowski of Highlands, Texas and Stephanie Twardowski of Houston; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives. He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters Pelagia Bilski and Maggie Bilski; brothers: Joe Twardowski, Willie Twardowski, and Pete Twardowski, as well as brothers-in-law Stanley Bilski, Billie Bilski, and Albin Kubeczka. Funeral services for Max Twardowski will be held Saturday, January 23, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Mary''s Catholic Church with Msgr. Benedict Zientek, officiant. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery. A Rosary will be prayed Friday, January 22 at 7:00 p.m. at Memorial Oaks Chapel. Serving as pallbearers are Billie Bilski, Paul Bilski, Danny Twardowski, Leonard Twardowski, Johnny Kubeczka, Matthew Kubeczka, Douglas Bilski, and Jason Carter. Memorials may be directed to St. Mary''s Catholic Church. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Memorial Oaks Chapel, 1306 W. Main, Brenham.979836-4564.
